My little angel...

Sweet baby boy getting cuter every day! Baby ben is changing and developing a cute little personality. I love it! He is friendly, and smiley-- he gives his momma adoring shy smiles. What a little blessing ! Thank You Jesus for giving us our little boy weaver

Baby Benjamins Bed

Faced with the dilemma that benjamin's bed is placed right under the air conditioner I set to work making him a canopy that would sure as a barrier between the cold air. I started with fabric that I saved from Sierra's canopy, dyed it blue, and than got the white and brown so that it would match the color scheme we are going to do for his new room, in our new house. TaDa!!

Baby's are the best judge of character

Someone once told me that baby's and children are great judges of character. That if your child didn't like or had a strong reaction to someone that I should really stop and question why. Well today Benjamin really favored his daddy- perhaps it was the several extra hours of quality time he spent with his daddy last night while mommy was out with a girl friend. Or it was something else entirely however he cried and fussed for several hours, and right after dinner, during dinner actually when daddy took him so mommy could finish he fell peaceably asleep like a little angel.

Grandpa and the boy!!

Ben and grandpa were very close this last weekend. Grandpa is so cute and would always say that he needs to hold "the boy" cause mommy gets to hold him all the time. Benjamin seemed to really like his grandpa and would sit or sleep happily in his arms. When I was watching these two interact it really struck me how happy I was to have had a boy. Jesse told me before we got pregnant with ben that he was happy with two girls, but there was apart of me that felt like i hadn't given him everything, you everything that a man needed. Jesse is the only boy in his family, and I wanted the Sam weaver name to be carried on.... I praise God that he heard my hearts cry and gave us that son.. Thank you

Mobile One

Hey, this is my first mobile post!
____________________

Well, that was my first mobile post anyways, but I am not too sure if you can send a picture through the mobile post interface. Hopefully google will figure something out to make that work better. Anyways, this last weekend we headed out to Yakima to hang out with my family a little bit, and celebrate my mom's birthday. It was very nice seeing everybody, and we had a great time....other than the trip there anyways. Kids will be kids, and our 3 hour trip according to google maps turned into a 5 1/2 hour trip! Bah. However our extended period in the car did afford us the chance to snap a pic of our little Ben looking pretty happy with life, which of course makes his momma and me, well, pretty happy with life.

Whats in a Smile?

This is the best picture that i could get so far of ben's occasional smiles! he has started to interact with his environment, and will smile at mommy all the time, and others occasionally. he also makes really cute noises and sounds.

Grandpa...

Even though Ben is still to young to know the importance of "grandpa's" his presence is still very necessary. What is it about presence in a child's life? Children are taught to love, and learn by example and yet they have so much more grace for strangers or people who are absent and than aren't. Perhaps its what Jesus was saying about being more like a child. my children are blessed to have role models they can count on.

Dirty Deeds....

...not done dirt cheap. So today was the terrible....dreaded.....woefull....curcumcision. Echh, I cringe just typing it. So my poor little buddy had the dirty deed done today, but on the upside, he seems no worse the wear. He is a little clingy with momma, but I think things are going as well as can be expected.

by the way, that is a photoshop of ben, not the real goods, and just for comedic effect. Yeesh, get of my back allready, don't you know I had a bad day?

Totally unprepared am I..... to face the world of men

Watching Jesse and how having a son has changed him in ways that we didn't know was possible I consider life will be with a son. Looking at my little man, and watching other toddlers, and young boys i still feel in a daze, that i now have a son. boys are so different than girls, and there are times that i totally don't feel prepared to raise a son. You know when Jesse and I first talked about our little boy right after he was born, we both felt so blessed. Sometimes it seems that in life you can want something, yearn and cry out for something but that thing never seems to happen. Now we have a boy to carry on the weaver name, and to be a momma's boy.
